Austria’s Conchita Wurst, otherwise known as the Bearded Lady, recently won the 2014 Eurovision Song Contest in Copenhagen, Denmark.


Conchita Wurst’s performance of “Rise Like a Phoenix” on May 10 to win the 2014 Eurovision Song Contest shocked the world. The result promises to reinforce the tolerant tone the event has sought to strike in recent years for all of its contestants.
